Contractor context
A job description, measured quantities, confirmed client agreements, and a contractor-defined list of services. Missing facts stay marked as unknown.
Less time writing proposals after hours. More time for what you do best.
We’re exploring an assistant that organizes renovation work, flags missing information, and helps prepare proposals using your own rates.
“A 20 m² room, freshen up the walls.
Priming and painting. I have my own rates.”
Scope → questions → proposal
Do the walls need repairs? Who supplies the materials?
Illustration of a planned feature. The contractor would always review the proposal.
The contractor sets labor and material prices.
Work items, assumptions, and missing details in one place.
Review the proposal before it reaches your client.
This simple demo calculates labor costs. The planned AI assistant would help describe the work and ask the client for missing details.
48 m² of wall area
Labor costs based on the rates entered. Materials, additional work, and VAT are not added. This is an example calculation, not a binding quote.
Use the calculator above, add the job details below, and preview a draft. This working demo uses forms and templates, not AI.
Nothing is sent to a client. Edit and verify every figure and agreement before using the draft.
The goal is to turn unstructured contractor notes into a reviewable scope of work. Claude would help with language and missing information; a separate calculation engine would handle prices.
A job description, measured quantities, confirmed client agreements, and a contractor-defined list of services. Missing facts stay marked as unknown.
We plan to request work items, assumptions, exclusions, and clarification questions in a structured response, with a reference to the source note for each item.
Confirmed quantities and rates feed the calculation engine. Claude would draft the plain-language proposal. The contractor checks and approves it before any client delivery.
Compare outputs with contractor-reviewed sample jobs: check scope coverage, useful clarification questions, unsupported assumptions, exact arithmetic, response time, and cost per proposal. We have not run these evaluations yet.
Current status: no Claude API connection, model-generated analysis, accounts, or automatic client messaging. The demo above illustrates the workflow using deterministic rules.
Describe the scope, measurements, and client agreements in plain language, without lengthy forms.
We plan to use Claude to identify missing details and suggest questions before you quote.
A clear description of the work, with costs calculated using your rates. The final decision is yours.
We want to start with contractors who speak to clients, visit the property, and prepare the quote themselves.
Phone notes, your price list, and more questions from the client. The planned assistant would help bring them into one clear document.
Example: painting a room and preparing the walls.
Breaking work into stages makes it clear what the price covers and what needs further discussion. Each item should have a unit and a rate.
Example: filling, priming, and painting.
Work descriptions, who supplies materials, and what is excluded. We want to reduce misunderstandings before work begins.
Example: updating a quote after a scope change.
Client conversation notes organized into preparation, execution, and additional work, with assumptions you can edit.
Wall condition, work area, number of coats, room access, and material purchases. Missing details should be visible rather than replaced with guesses.
AI would help with the text. Costs would be calculated separately using quantities and contractor rates. The demo above only covers labor.
Our goal is an editable document with the scope, costs, and agreements. It would not be sent to the client automatically.
We haven’t set a launch date. We want to base the next decisions on conversations and a better understanding of contractors’ needs.
An introduction to the project and a wall-painting labor calculator. Try the calculation using your own rates.
Conversations with contractors about how they prepare proposals. We’re looking for people willing to share their process.
Organizing job descriptions, asking for missing details, and drafting proposals. The Claude integration is not live yet.
Checking usability, accuracy, and whether the tool helps on a real job. Further features will depend on the results.
Answers about the current demo and the planned application.
Have another question? Get in touchNot yet. The project website and a simple calculator demo are live. The full assistant, user accounts, and AI proposal generation are still planned.
No. The current demo runs ordinary calculations in your browser: wall area multiplied by the rates for each task. We plan to use Claude in a future prototype to organize text and ask about missing information.
No. The starting values only demonstrate the calculator. Enter your own rates based on the scope and conditions of the specific job.
A room with a 20 m² floor does not automatically have 20 m² of walls. Calculate wall area from the wall dimensions, using your own method for accounting for openings. Enter that work area in the demo.
The demo only totals labor. It does not add materials, transport, additional work, or VAT. All of these need to be agreed before preparing a real proposal.
The current calculator runs in your browser. Its code does not send values to AI or save them in a project database. Refreshing the page restores the example values. You do not need to enter client information.
We haven’t decided on pricing or a subscription model yet. The demo on this website is free to use and does not require an account.

We’d like to understand how you quote jobs. What takes the most time? Which details most often need clarification?
